Police seek driver who may have seen fatal Ponders End scooter crash

Detectives investigating the death of a scooter driver in a Ponders End crash on Monday want to speak to a driver who they believe saw the incident.

The 45-year-old man from Hertfordshire, who has yet to be named, was killed after a crash between his scooter and a white van at the junction of Meridian Way and Pickett’s Lock Lane at 6.30am.

Officers want to speak to the driver of a small, light coloured car who could have seen the crash, but did not stop at the scene to give details.

Police have not yet informed the man’s relatives of his death or carried out formal identification. A post-mortem is due to be held today at Haringey Mortuary.
